Question
Hi,I own 2 cats.A male and female.Just recently Larry(the male cat..hes 7 yrs old)started driking out of the tiolet and the fish tank and even out of glasses that are on the table. He is the type of cat this is very particular about what he eats and where he drinks. Also he is the kinda cat that is afraid of his own shadow.I dont know what is wrong with him.I was wondering if it was just old age or is he ill. Also he doesnt really go after mice and birds.(hes afraiid of a small rabbit)He ran outside and tryed to raid a birds nest!Could u please help me!Or if u cant could u please give me some websites? Thanks so much for ur help.

Answer
Does he have fresh water in his bowls?  Sometimes particular cats will drink elsewhere if they feel there drinking water and bowls aren't clean enough.  I don't think he might be ill, just very particular.  Has he always been fearful?  If so, maybe something happened to him to traumatize him...I honestly don't know.  I don't know any sites off the top of my head, but you can do a search on feline behavior and Pam Johnson.  She is an animal behavorist that is real helpful.  I think she has a website too that can help you answer your question.
