My little one has not been herself for about two days - eyes seem glassy and she seems to have little energy

Hi Tina.

You don't mention if kitten is eating, or if there are any other symptoms. Sometimes a kitten may just not feel good for a couple of days and it is not anything serious. On the other hand it could be the tell-tale signs of a serious ailment or disease.

Has there been any vomiting or diahrea? The kitten could have eaten something that gave her a tummy ache. Has the weather been hot? The heat bothers some cats more than others. Has she been wormed?

OR (don't laugh), your kitten could be depressed. If you got her recently it could be separation anxiety. Or if you don't have another kitten for company for her or to play with, that could cause the listless behavior....she's lonely. She's used to having other kittens to play with, and cuddle with, plus a momma cat for comfort.  Being a single kitten in a new environment is harder on some than others. You may want to get her a brother or sister.

As you can see it is hard to determine without more information.If the kitten is not back to normal after tomorrow, I would take her to the vet.

The kitten needs a physical exam and possibly some bloodwork to rule out a medical problem. I wish I could do that for you over the internet but unfortunately no one can.

Hopefully it is something simple like she needs to be wormed or she needs a friend.
