kitten whiskas

hi i have two kittens they are brother and sister but the girl has lost her whiskas they are just stubble now when it started we thought our youngest girl got the blame for it as we thought she cut them but she went away and they were still breaking off can you tell me what this could be ,many thanks

In their mutual grooming of each other, another cat, probably the brother, is chewing the sister's whiskers off.  I have seen mamas get so enthusiastic about keeping the babies clean and smooth, they chew the whiskers off.  I have heard tell of other circumstances where this behavior takes place, including among siblings!?!?!?!
