Siamese dragging my clothes out

Question
Thanks for your answer :)  Why does she have to pick my underwear to drag out? :P  She will only drink water if it is running from the faucet, is that a Siamese trait?

Thank you again for answering my questions!!
You are so helpful and I am so greatfull too!

My Siamese, Ming who is 7 years old has a strange habit, she will go into my closet and drag an article of clothing out (its always my clothes) into the living room.  She is "crying" the whole time that she is doing it.  Is this a trait of a Siamese?  I was wondering on why does she do this?  The past 2 weeks she has been doing this everyday--other than that it was once in a great while--say every 3 or 4 months.  I told my aunt of this, and she just laughs and says shes just inbred :)  Any help to understand this would be greatly appreciated!!  Thank you (again!!)

Hi Tricia!

I just love Siamese, don't you?  They are so unlike other cats.  They are so very unique.  I'm not sure why she is dragging your clothes out, that is absolutely hilarious.  I used to have an Oriental Shorthair, that are really Siamese.. just solid colored... that used to come down the hallway every night with a sock in her mouth, crying the whole way.  I used to refer to it as her "baby".  I dont' know why they do it, but I always thought it was kind of a mothering instinct. In your case, dragging large items of clothing around is another story.. LOL.  I really dont' know, but I think it's very cute.

God Bless,
Becky

Answer
Tricia,
You are cracking me up with your "underwear" stories...LOL
I have no idea why she does that, other than since it's yours, it has your scent and she loves you.
My Cornish Rex also drinks from the faucett!!  So I don't think it is necessarily a Siamese trait.  She will sit on the sink and cry until I come and turn it on!!  Talk about spoiled!!
Take care,
Becky
