10 day old kitten constipation?

I have a 10 day old kitten who was abandoned by his mother at birth. A vet assistant took care of him from day 2-6. He hasn't had BM for the past 3 1/2 days.  He is syringe fed kitten formula (2ml every 2-3 hours)and I have been stimulating him after every feeding. He is still eating and doesn't seem in obvious distress, but his wee belly is looking pretty swollen. I gave him about .2ml 24 hours ago with no results.  Please help!  We want this little guy to grow up to be strong and healthy!

Kittens don't have to have a bowel movement every day. But 3 1/2 days is a bit too long to go without one. You need to take the little guy to the vet. You should thin his food out a little. Add more water to the formula to prevent this in the future. And add a drop of vegetable oil to the food. This should help. But now he needs to go to the vet. Good luck.
