Question
I know it is wrong to declaw cats, but I am adopting one and the recent owner just had the cat declawed. My question is, what do I put in the litterbox....litter or shredded paper?

Answer
Hi Julia,

HURRAH!  Congratulations on your adoption!!!!!

OK - First keep the cat in a spare bathroom or bedroom where it can't jump from high up - it's paws will be tender for a few days after surgery.

You can buy the tiny log looking rolled litter (Yesterday's News I think it's called), or tear long strips of newspaper for their litter box.  Check with your Vet on how long - I think at least 1 week, but it could be longer?

Thank you Julia for rescuing another forever home kitty.
