cat gestation

Question
I have a bengal cat who is currently 69 days gestation. She has been nesting periodically and licks every once in awhile. She does not appear to be in distress. I have noticed a very small amount of bloody drainage in her box. I have felt movement in her belly. She has had kittens one other time and last fall had a bladder infection that she was treated for. I don't know if I should take her in for a c-section or wait it out.
Thanks!

Answer
Elizabeth,

When one of our cats goes over 69 days, we have her checked by the vet.  She should have kittenned by now.  Most queens have their kittens on the same day each litter. So, if she had them on the 67th day the first time, she would, most probably, have them on the 67th day this time.  If yoy are sure your count is correct (we usually start counting on the second day of breeding), I would have her in to the vet to see what is going on.  If there is a problem, a c-section would be warranted.

Please let me know what happens.

Best regards... Norm.
