my cat wont stop licking

hi   i have a black male cat who`s name is little bear (aka bearcat)  for the past month he has had two spots on him, one on the inside of his leg, and one on his side. he will not stop licking these two spots.  he has licked them so much there is no hair left on or around them.  one might the problem be    please help i love my kitty more than anything on this planet and dont want him uncomfortable   thanks tracii

Hi Traci,

There could be a number of reasons for this. He could have a flea allergy, a food allergy, ringworm, mange, mites and a couple of other things. You need to get him to a vet to have him checked. Some of these are serious. Your vet will be able to figure out what he has. Good luck.
