fading kitten syndrome

i was reading your answer to the person with the newborn kitten death.  i also found two kittens 2 days old. took them to "daycare" at the vet daily, and one died suddenly at about 2 weeks in my hand. i was told about kitten fading syndrome.  do you think this may have been the cause and what is it?  the other kitten is now a huge 9 month boy and never got sick, same mother.  i've always felt horrible about his brother. the kitten i kept does not have any diseases and never had worms.

It could have been that but it is really not something one can be sure of. If it was that, antibiotics may have helped but you saw your vet and he/she did not see it coming either apparently. As you will see even with the syndrome, there are many possible causes for it. You did everything you needed to but some things can't be helped and are in God's hands. Take good care of your boy and remember his brother with love and kindness and pass that love onto another needy little one in the future. You did what you needed to do so you cannot balme yourself for a mysterious death.
