Strange Kitten mouth movement

14:46:42

Question
I have a cat that recently had three kittens about six weeks ago. One of them is tail-less, (looks like a Manx.)
About a week ago she started making movements with her jaw.
It moves up and down but not side to side.
It actually looks like she's talking.
It will continue for several seconds, then stops.
I looked into her mouth but I couldn't see anything un-usual.Any idea?
Thx

Answer
Tom,

Is the kitten eating, drinking, playing and functioning the same as her siblings? If so then I wouldn't be too concerned as she may simply be a kitty who communicates via silent meow (we can't hear it but other cats can). If you have any reason to be concerned then I'd recommend having your veterinarian assess this little one to be certain that there's nothing more serious happening here. I can also provide you with information about when the kittens should go to their new homes, ideal nutrition for your queen and her babies, weaning, etc if you're interested in learning more. If you have any further cat related questions or concerns I'd be more than happy to help you out so please don't hesitate to contact me again.
