My Kitten is Too Mean

Hello,
I have recently gotten a new kitten. I'm not sure how old he is... but I know he's old enough to be given away, so I have him now. His name's Tobey.

We also have dogs, and Toby clearly doesn't like dogs...or people!  What do I do to get him to be a kind cat for this household? I need him to get used to dogs being around him and I need him to know that I am the boss... I've never trained an animal before...and I'm already breaking down! Please help!

Hi Jesse,

Typically kittens should be kept separate from new animals for at least 3 weeks.  During that time you should have him in another room while he gets used to people.  It will take time but you need to spend a lot of time petting him and holding him and getting him to like being touched.  If you don't do this soon he will be too old to teach this too.
