Persian cat breeding colors

QUESTION: I would like to know what colors are possible in these two matings of Persian cats. The male is a blue eyed white and is a color point carrier. His dad is a copper eyed white and his mom is a shaded silver. What colors are possible if bred with a red female. I would also like to know what colors are possible if a visual chocolate male is bred to a red female. His mom is a blue cream point chocolate carrier and his dad is a solid chocolate lilac carrier. I am looking into buying a red female so any suggestions as to what type of red female to get to achieve the best results would also be appreciated. Thanks so much for your time.

ANSWER: I would need a little more information in order to answer this.  I need to know what color the male is masking.  Therefore, what I need it to know what the copper eyed white boy is out of.

As far as chocolate male x red female. That one is easy.  Male kittens will all be red, females will all be chocolate torties.  If they are both cpc, then there could be pointed kittens...(ie redpoint or tortiepoint).

QUESTION: The copper eyed white's dad is a seal point and the mom is a copper eyed white also. How do I know what color my blue eyed white boy is masking? Thanks so much for the help! I have one other question also. I have a solid blue girl her dad is a lilac and her mom is a lilac cream point. Paternal grand-parents are ..grandfather a lilac..grandmother a chocolate and maternal grandparents are..grandfather is a seal point and grandmother a red. If she is bred with a chocolate what are the color possiblities? Thanks so much

ANSWER: Okay.....there is a problem in your Blue girl's pedigree.  Two lilacs can ONLY produce lilac.  They can't produce a blue....so one of them was blue....dna testing would confirm colors.  When working with chocolates and lilacs, I always recommend dna testing at least on first generation, so you know what you are working with.  There is a good article about persian genetics located here - http://www.showcatsonline.com/x/basic_color_genetics1.shtml and it should help.  

For me, I just look at the sire and dam...going back generations and generations is more than you need to do.

I would guess with your cew boy and blue girl the possibilities are:
Sealpoint
CEW
Bluepoint
black
blue
lilacpoint
lilac
Think that is all of them :)
