dog sores

My american staffordshire terrier had flea's, we took care of the flea problem but now she is covered in open sore. the vet said they would clear up but they seem to be getting worse. I put poroxide on them like the vet said and have been giving her an oral med to take away the itching, but the sores are not healing. Is there anything I could do to heal the sores and make life easier on my pup?

Flea bites can last up to a month or so. Dogs scratch at them to relieve the itching.  If the medicine she is on is a steroid, she may need more or she may need it more often.  If the skin is also infected, then there may be some antibiotics that might help.  It takes a while for the skin sores to heal, but the itch and infection have to be gone first.
