Cat unable to hold head up

Question
Marie, We recently adopted a stray who was pregnant within the last month but suddenly was pregnant no longer. We took her in to prepare her for her vet visit only to find her the next morning unable to lift her head. Any ideas? She was also "scooting" rather than walking. It seemed like her hind legs were injured, but that has subsided, she walks OK now. Her gait is wobbly. Any advice, or if you have seen something like this would help. Thank You!

Answer
No good Ed.  Please get her into the vet ASAP.  I am wondering if she is toxic and lost the kittens.... Could the kittens still be inside of her?  You said she was pregnant and then was not..?
I don't understand what you are saying.
Has she seen the vet yet?

Sounds like she could have a serious infection.
