running eyes

Question
I have a ten year old spaniel mix dog,whos eyes
are constantly running.Could it be allergies?
His snout has a dark stain from his eyes constant
running.Is their something that will remove the stain?

Hi there!  I would definitely have your veterinarian take a look at your dog's eyes.  This may be caused by allergies, or this could be a corneal ulcer.  Your veterinarian will have to perform a few diagnostic procedures to pin point the cause.  Since your dog is 10 years old, I would lean more toward an actual eye ailment, other than allergies as you would have noticed the allergies throughout the prior years.  I wish you the best of luck and please keep me posted.
