Question
I'm wondering if Jason from 11-19-04 ever found the problem that his dog had?  My dog has the same problem, for about a year though.  He has welts all over his body and he does seem to breath a bit heavy, come to think of it.  And he also snores incredibly loud.
We HAVE gone through the loop, just as you  mentioned to try not to do, in your response to Jason's email.  But we have gone through the loop WAY too many times.  He's had skin biopsy's, only to have them say it might be a double coat.  My normal vet says it 's something else with a little of that maybe.   But the allergy pills she gave him don't work and only make him sleepy and lathargic. We changed his food and nothing has made them go away. The steroid shots and the anti-inflammatory shots don't do a single thing either. Neither do antibiotics.
I was curious as to why, or how, breathing problem such as asthma, or bronchitis could cause welts.
I'm very worried about my little guy. He's SO sweet, but sometimes he just looks SO sad when he looks up at me with those big brown, puppy dog eyes.
 Thank you for your time.

Answer
Not a problem:)

Hi there,

I have not heard back from him.

Bronchitis should not cause welts, BUT allergies/bronchitis/asthma can be caused by allergic reactions.

If you have not seen a dog dermatologist, that is my suggestion to you.

Much luck!
