Picking out high school classes for veterinary

Well the subject say's it all. I am looking into having veterinary as a career, like most people want. My parents say i just can't do it because its to hard, but i really want to and think i can. I am signing up for my highschool freshmen classes and was wondering what would be the best choices for a veterinary career. Please help me. Thank you.

well thats rather cruel that your parents say you can't do it.

anyway...

you want to get lots of science out of the way.. though you will continue to take chemistry, biology, microbiolgy ect.. in college.   

you will probably (I did) take calculus 1 and 2.

if you really want to see what the field is like. i suggest you either work part time at a clinic or go observe for a day.
