QuestionMy family recently adopted an older American Curl when the lady who had owned her passed away. The cat had been confined to the lady's apartment for 9 years, and seemed reasonably content. We have a 1,600 square foot house, and have allowed her to explore the yard. At first, understandably, she hid under the bed for a week in her new home. Now, though, she has "pooped" on each of the beds. What can we do, aside from using an enzyme-type cleaner on the bed clothes?
Thank you, Dr. Fry!
AnswerProvide several litter boxes and consider CAT ATTRACT to help draw her back to the box www.preciouscat.com
Since she has had a dramatic life change, I would recommend adding Feliway/Comfort Zone Diffusers in the house to help ease her stress and anxiety.
Washing the bedding in hot soapy water is sufficient.
You can certainly lay down plastic wrap or aluminum foil on the bed to discourage repeat visits.
