Blood in cats poop

I noticed for a week now that my cats poop hasnt been solid.. and today i came home from work I noticed there was like a tea spoon of dark blood. hes eating normally, hes acting completely normal what could cause this?

There are many possible causes for blood in the stool such as:  infectious agents and parasites,  diet intolerance, tumors or polyps, inflammatory bowel diseases, and bleeding/clotting disorders.  Depending on your cat's age and exposure one may be more likely than another. I would recommend having him seen by your veterinarian to help determine the cause.
