Gerbils

I noticed that on of my children's gerbils will not open her eyes.  There is no noticeable problem with the eyes (i.e. mucus, puss or infection), and other than her eyes she seems normal, running around, eating, drinking and exercising.  Any Ideas.

I would wipe her eyes gently with a cotton ball soaked in warm water and wrung out and see if she can open them. They are glued together with something unless she is having a vision problem and the light is hurting her eyes.
In that case you need to take her to the vets.
