My 10 yr old Rat Terrier had a bladder infection and started using front room as toilet. Infection has cleared but for 2 days now he has defacated in front room despite easy access to doggie door.Got any ideas why ?

Hi Jake!  I would definitely think that he is continuing to go to the bathroom in the front room because his scent is now there.  I would clean the area in which he is using very thoroughly with a pet stain and odor remover product like Nature's Miracle.  Without his scent there, he will no longer feel the need to mark the spot.
