new cocker spaniel puppy..is it sick?

Hi! I just got a 4 month old cocker spaniel puppy last Friday, and this morning, I noticed that it had a runny nose. Throughout the day it has been sneezing, and it continues to have a runny nose on and off again. I am worried that my puppy may be sick. Should I take it to a vet?

Hi Julie!

This kind of sounds like Sinusitis. This is rarely serious and will usually go away on its own. In the meantime, however, it can cause sneezing, a runny nose or even snoring.

Without seeing your dog, I can not give you a positive diagnosis. In this situation, it's best to visit your veterinarian for positive diagnosis and treatment.
