4 month kitten sick

Question
My 4 month male kitten has been sick twice today. He is playing and acting completely normal. There is no sign of a high temperate or diaorhrea or even him being tired. I've haven't fed him a meal since he has been sick the second time. Should I be worried by this? I can't seem to see anything that he has eaten which would cause this.

Answer
Sounds like the food he is eating is not settling well with his digestive system. What are you feeding him?

Stay away from Purina Kitten Chow as it is coated with milk and kittens and puppies are lactose intolerant once they are weaned. Get him some Science Diet Kitten Growth (Science Plan in the UK) and slowly move him over to that food over a week's time. That will solve some of the problem but another one he could have is round worms.

Make sure you get some wormer from your vet for him. Kittens are often born with round worms and they will cause vomiting, pot-bellied look and other problems. Kittens that are overloaded with worms can become very sick.

So get him wormed and change his food to a higher quality one such as Science Plan.
