Cat sneezing and lethargic

Hi Hilary,

My cat has begun sneezing off and on, not constantly,  and he seems a bit more lethargic. I am unsure if he is merely acting his age more and perhaps has an allergy, or if I should be alarmed and take him to my vet.  May I have your opinion?

Hi Elizabeth!  I would take him to your veterinarian for a checkup.  Cats are very susceptable to upper respiratory infections and do have the symptoms of sneezing and lethargy.  Your veterinarian will be able to pinpoint upon a physical examination, whether or not this is an infection or an allergy.
