Question
i bought my puppy 5 days ago. he was just a spunky little boy.   two and a half days later he vomited and became really sluggish so my wife took him to the vet and they parvo tested him through his rectum and it was negative they gave him a shot for vomiting and put him on amoxacillian 2 ml. every 12 hours well he improved the next day and ate and drank but the next day he was sick again, slow and he would not drink or eat so i put him on a regime of 20 ml of water   every 2 hrs. i also took him back took him to the vet that evening he did a blood test on him and his white cell count was 9800 all i was told was watch him over the next two days. the vet wormed him nothing came out. today he looks really skinny and he vomited twice but he did drink water on his own. please help with any advice that you can.

Your pup needs IV fluids with antibiotics.  I cannot offer suggestions regarding what is wrong with him without examining him but this sounds very serious.  Ask the veterinarian to do another fecal exam to determine if he has too many internal parasites. You will not always see worms if the pet has been dewormed. Often the parasites are microscopic and can only be identified by looking under a microscope.  An overgrowth of worms can cause a pup to become very sick.

It is very important that you make sure your pet has fluids and antibiotics.  Have him admitted as soon as possible.
