my cats tooth

i have a 9yr old male neutred cat and he seems to be sore in his mouth i have tried to look n when i did i seen a tooth that looked really bad is there anything i cna give him for the pain and it seems to have abesses to. i know he be too old to put under but i want to help him from pain, he crys when he trys to eat, and the past 2 days ahsnt ate much, otherwsie he eats alot and he is on soft food diet right now.

Hello!

If there is an abscess, he will definitely need antibiotics. I would advise to see your veterinarian for a proper examination and therapy, he may be able to give you also pain killers.

Never give human pain killers to cats or dogs! It may cause toxication!
