Dog eating grass

Question
I have a 4 year old Golden Retriever who will frequently eat grass when outside in the yard.  Is this indicative of a problem?

Answer
All dogs and cats eat grass now and then. No one really knows the real reason they do it (they won't tell us) so it is assumed it acts as a cleansing agent for the gut (cats frequently vomit afterward) and/or to get some roughage and veggie proteins into their system.

Wolves always eat the bellies of their prey to get the carbs, herbs and grasses they eat.

So once in a while I wouldn't worry about. If she is eating it all the time or has diarrhea or gas or vomiting aside from the grass eating, then I would worry about a problem.
