Question
"i have a german shepherd puppy he is about 3 months old, coal fell on him when he was young and he get lil bit burnt. and the very end of his tail has no hair on it and the skin on the very end of his tail clumped into a small clump and i was wondering if i can band the very end of his tail or would that create a problem, and if i can what should i do? thank you."

Answer
If you band his tail he will lose it. There is nothing you can do if this is old and scarred. You can have the vet remove the very tip of his tail to where the hair starts but that is all that can be done.

Messing with tails is not a good idea since it's the tip of their spine and they bleed like crazy when injured.

So have the vet take a look at it and they can do something with it.
