Question
I have a 5 year old pug, his ears are very very waxy, black ear wax and it smells bad.  I clean his ears with a solution the vet gave me once a week.  Is this okay to clean them this often?  The vet puts him on antibiotics every time I go because of yeast.  Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Answer
If your dog has a yeast infection in his ears, then he has an allergic skin disease.  YOur vet needs to treat thet.  Also, antibiotics do not kill yeasts.  The ear cleaner used weekly is very helpful in decreasing the wax in the ears and will help keep the yeasts down.
