Question
I have two persian cats ages 11yrs and 9 yrs. we had them groomed and shaved not bald but close to there bodies and now are finding the 9yr old female cat has become very aggressive and keeps attacking the older male cat, she won't let him around the house with out harrassing him. It was recommended by the groomer to rub each one of them with something that would help the scent to return, but that has failed...He was always the agressive one but now she has taken over! this is very difficult to understand why after 9yrs of living together they are constantly fighting and we don't want her to hurt him or vice a verse... What would you suggest to help this matter?
The dog we have was groomed also and they don't pay attention to her in any way...

Answer
Grooming can be a traumatic experience for cats and often times, the one cat may blame the other for the experience.  IN addition, they each smell different and their own scents have been washed away.  I would recommend getting FELIWAY and spray that around the house to help ease the anxiety.  You can also get RESCUE REMEDY at the health food store and add several drops to each water dish.  If the girl will allow, you can drop a few drops directly in her mouth.
