my dog Cookie is limping on her back leg!

My dog Cookie is a very small Pomeranian. She is walking with a limp on her hind leg. We tried putting pressure on it and she had no reply. What do you think is wrong with her?

I wish I could just look at a limping dog and tell what is wrong, but veterinary medicine doesn't work that way.  First, we are dealing with patients who wont tell us what is wrong or even what happened.

So, we need to examine the pet to try and find clues as to what is going on.  In the case of limping, we need to do an orthopedic exam to try and determine where the pain is.

Limping can be due to something as simple as a sprain or as complex as a fracture.  I recommend you take your pet to a veterinarian for examination.
