ANSWER: I am not sure what your question is Laurie. If she is not in pain, not suffering, then there is no reason for her not to die naturally at home.
I don't know what you are asking me. I know it's hard to lose them after 17 years, I had one cat, Floyd, who was born in my house, for 19 years. He was dying from kidney disease however, so I had him put to sleep when his body started shutting down.

I hope you can be with her when she goes. You will feel better about it if you are- but she will most likely die in her sleep. My prayers are with you and her.

QUESTION: sorry missy had  to be put down she had some kind of cancer and because after exam the vet said because she was old it was the best thing she started breathing heavy and i took her in to her vet and she is now in heaven i am so heart broken you dont  know but i am crying to hard to see i am doing sorry thanks missy mom god bless her heart

Answer
Laurie,
You have to know that what you did for Missy was a gift that you gave her. She was suffering so you ended that pain. You did for her something we can't even do for each other. It is a gift that you gave her as a loving Mom to her- as a wonderful pet owner.
I know how painful this is for you now- but over the next few weeks you will start to feel a peace inside that you did the right thing for her.

I just had to put down my own 15 year cat named Crouton- but she was dying of kidney failure and was being poisoned by her own body. I knew it was going to hurt so much to end her life but I also knew I was giving her that same gift. She looked at me and told me with her eyes she was ready- and so was your Missy.

Crying is good, it hurts so we cry a lot. That is what we do then as time goes on it feels a little less painful every day. I still miss her and you will miss your kitty to- but knowing there is no more pain and suffering makes me feel better and now I smile at the time we had together.

God has blessed her with you- and you with all your memories of her.
