Penny is a very sweet dog, but she is driving us crazy!  She had started pooping in her kennel.  It is very loose stool.  I do not know if she is doing this for attention or if she is sick.  Also, I think that she may be eating it so that we don't see it and that may be making her even more sick.  What should I do?

You should take her to the vet for an examination and a stool sample check to rule out any medical conditinos including intestinal parasites.  The fact that she is pooping in her kennel is a sign that something is wrong, whether it is medical (parasites, colitis, food allergy, inflammatory bowel disease) or behavioral (separation anxiety, attention seeking).  And yes eating her stool could make her even more sick and you should add something like FORBID or DETER to her food to discourage that.  Also, you can try feeding her a bland diet of boiled burger or chicken and rice with plain yogurt to see if that helps settle her stomach.
