Floating particle in dogs eye

Recently my 18 month only Labrador Dachshund has had a green thick discharge oozing from his eyes. I suspected it was only allergies, but this morning when I checked his eyes I could see a floating white/clearish particle in his eye. I am worried about his eye sight.

I am not sure if you mean IN the eye ball itself or on the surface. If it's on the surface you can probably wash it out. If it's IN the eye, then you need to get him to the vets as he could have a foreign body that has worked its way into the eyeball, and that is serious.

So don't waste time, eye problems need to be dealt with in a very timely matter.

Call your vet if it's IN the eye.
