Question
Hi actually I have two questions. I have 4 cats, all between the age of 9 and 13 months. They have gotten along perfectly until yesterday when the one female, gave birth. One of the males (not the father) has been growling and hissing at her and now refuses to come in the house. from the instant he came in after the birth, he has acted this way and the female cat does not react. 2. The female still intermittantly meows like she is in pain and she has diarhea and vomiting. Also there is still some bleeding. Is this normal?

Answer
YOur female cat has some kind of infection there should be no bleeding at all after day 2 or 3 after giving birth and the diarhea and vomiting are signs of trouble she needs to be seen by the vet along with her new kittens.  Your male cats should not be around the kittens they may bite them, wait for at least 5 weeks to introduce the other males and have a close eye on them.
