I have a cat that has severe food allergies. He has had several depomedrol shots. He will NOT eat any of the trial foods we have tried. He was very picky from the day I adopted him at 6 months.I am desperate to try something but don't know what to do. His one leg is a mess.Fish seems to be the worst and that is the only thing he will eat.HELP!!!
AnswerYou need to try several foods to find a hypoallergenic diet that the cat will eat. I have had the best success with a food called z/d from Hill's. It is available from your vet. It comes in small packages and is guaranteed by Hill's so if the cat won't eat it, they will refund your money.
Chances are that if the DepoMedrol shots seem to help, it may not only be food allergies.
