Hi there!  Dogs are wonderful, friendly and loyal companions.  They need a lot of attention and need yearly vaccinations and veterinary check ups to live a long healthy life.  They should be spayed or neutered by the age of 6months to prevent infection, unwanted puppies, and cancer of the mammary glands, uterus, and prostate.
Dogs need to be trained to go outside to "do their business" which can be a grueling task depending on the puppy.  Be prepared to have to take a dog outside every 2 hours when housebreaking.  Dogs love walks and exercise which keeps them in good health and in good shape. Dogs also enjoy play time with toys, which keeps them bright and alert.  Some dogs require going to a groomer to be cut, but most just need a daily to weekly brushing.
