Question
Is it possible to remove a dog's nail(s)?  We have such a struggle
keeping them trimmed.  The dog hates it, we hate it.  He never
leaves our yard.  Thanks

Answer
Hello Liz -

Dogs nails can be removed but it is not recommended. You would have to speak to your vet to see if they would even follow through with the procedure. Some vets will and some will not.

I know if can be difficult. We have a Golden Retriever and he doesn't like it either. The nails tend to trim them selves naturally when they run around outdoors and really wear great it you have a concrete patio. Our dog has a kennel outdoors with a concrete floor and his nails have been trimmed without our assisitance since he goes out there everyday. It has worked very well both both us and our pet.

I am sorry I cannot help you further.
