Question
I have a 9 month old jack russell terrier who threw up for 4 days and now will not eat anything.  We have tried everything to give him, but he will not eat.  The vet did all kinds of xrays and has ruled out any blockage, he is treating the dog for gastritis.  Any home remedies we can do that will help him start eating?

Answer
Hello - I a sorry to hear your dog is so sick!
Give some formula by syringe or in a saucer.  ( the kind they sell for puppies)
If he can take in food - give just white chicken ( cooked) and white rice.... just a dash of butter.
Try to offer 3-4 very small meals per day.

In the future - Please place your Jack Russell on some Doggie vitamins and oils:
Give 1 teaspoon of Salmon oil - per day mixed into his food.
Must be the pure salmon oil like Grizzley or Yummy Chummies brands.

Next - Please place this kid on ONE NuVET wafer per day - long term...
