Question
Our 3yo male English Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix  has reocuring yeast problems with his feet. He has been taking Atopica100mg and Tylan for tear stains since Feb. 2011 and also eating Royal Canin hypoallergenic food.

He just had another foot yeast infection and vet has him on Clavamox 375mg 1 tablet twice daily for 14 days plus Ketoconazole 200mg (and Diphenhydramine 25mg when needed which we have been doing once a day when he licks and chews on his feet)

We are limited on how we can treat him as he will not allow anyone to do anything to him and can be aggressive about it. Our vet has to give him a shot to put him out in order to do anything to him. Otherwise, he is a very good boy. There is a vet a friend told me about who is VERY familiar with bulldogs. We are considering a second opinion.

Meanwhile we feel lost as we still don't know why he gets this a couple of times a year. We would like to treat him in a more holistic manner if it can be done. I can't imagine taking all these meds is good for him.

Any help you have to offer would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Stephanie

Answer
Oh Boy Stephanie,  I would love to talk to you over the phone tomorrow.
If it's possible, call me after 8 am (Eastern time zone);  Marie  803-424-2312

Glad you have seen the Vet for help.  Now it's time to get some real results.
Long term Atopica and Tylan is NOT good at all.  Also, the Royal Canin is not a good choice for your dog.

I would love to explain what is going on with this doggie kid.
I work with pets all over the world with the same situation.
My results are very good!

E-mail me his weight and give me a run down of anything you forgot to tell me.
Other meds?  what shampoo/ medicated ?
What snacks or treats.

E-mail to   mpmaltese@gmail.com

Don't forget to call me.  I have a bunch to say!
