anal gland infections; american bulldog anal sac problems

Question
my 3 yr old neutered am.bulldog just had infected anal glands for the first time. is there a supplement or herbal remedy i could now give hime to maintain healthy anal sacs?  I was told by my vet it could be a reoccuring issue now. He is on Dick van pattisons natural balance dog food (limited ingredient diet) for about 5mths and has finally been having formed solid stools 2x per day.

Hi Rachel;  the key to anal glad health is proper fiber in the diet;
You can add the following to his program daily:

Digestive Supplement -  1 tablespoon daily
