Question
At my school, we have obtained 4 breeding pairs of clownfish. Our goal is to make them breed. Currently, we have not found any water quality parameters for the care an dbreeding of Amphiprion ocellaris, or Common Clownfish.

Answer
Hello,
sorry about the delay just got back into town.
As always you should strive for 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite under 20ppm for nitrate and a ph of 7.8 -8.1.  These are the water numbers that I strive for. Temp should be around 80-82.  I have read this sometimes stimulates breeding cycles in male common clowns. I would put some clay pots in the tanks.they are porous and the eggs will stick to the surface.  Also it adds protection for the females.

Good Luck
