QuestionHi, first timer here. I have an octopus about 4" and just got a dwarf about 4" too that I am acclimating. The dwarf will be safer in there compared to what I have in the other tanks because of his size. Want to make sure, is that ok to keep both of them together until dwarf gets bigger to be with the other fish? I have a dwarf that is already 7" and will eat this one, as far as I know. Please let me know as soon as you can. acclimating dwarf at the moment. thanks for your help
AnswerHello Rey. I would say as long is your tank is large enough I Would say give it a try. I have had an octopus once before and never had any problems with it eating any of my larger fish(however it didn't live very long because it escaped from the tank) My only concern here would be weather the octopus is used to other fish or not. If the lionfish should startle it there is always the risk of it inking in the tank. Even though this is a rare occurrence it still can happen. Make sure the octopus is well fed and it should leave the lionfish alone.
