sabae anemone vs condylactus anemone

Question
I have a 65 gal tower tank with 6 condy anemones and a 40 with a sabae clown and anemone. They are a match made in heaven feeding and protecting all the exciting stuff to watch. I was wanting to break down the 40 for lack of time to maintain 2 tanks. I have been able to relocate all fish in the 40 but I wont part with my clown and anemone. I know the clown is safe in my display tank with other fish and anemones however, I was told I cannot put the sabae anemone in there with purple tip and condylactus anemones there would be a "chemical" war. I have never heard of this before. Can you tell me if the anemones can all live in the same tank safely?  Thank you so much for any help you can offer. I am anxious to get the little tank down.

Answer
Hi Tonya. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Since your question went into the question pool I did not even know it was there. You can certainly put the two anemones together in the same tank. As long as they are kept far away from one another. The chemical warfare you are referring to comes from the potent sting of the condy anemone, and in order for it to sting the sebae it would have to be close enough to physically sting it. At the store where I work we keep all our anemones in one tank locating them in areas where we don't have to worry about them touching one another. Sometimes we will use a divider and sometimes we just let them find their own spot to settle down and make any adjustments if needed. If the sebae anemone is too close to the condy then it will move to find a better location out of harms way. Even in reef tanks heavily stocked with corals there will be chemical warfare going on if certain corals are too close to others and careful placement is the key to a peaceful existence.
