i have a 40 gal breeder with a mated pair of Clark clowns in it some live rock and a corallife light set all has been well and my fish have been spawning every two weeks like clock work every water change the problem for about a week now my male has been acting funny he stays in the anniame and is losing his color he is the white stripe is dull and his tale is not as vibrant as it use to be he is still eating but instead of going out and get it he just eats what comes to him worried and don't know what is going on with him i have been doing this for over two years and i never had a problem with water quality do you have any ideas what could be wrong

Well, I do Joby.  I do think it's water quality, so let's see what's going on in the tank.

I'd like you to send me a full list of the tank's specifications.

I'd also like to see the readouts of the water quality please.

How often do you skim?

Last, but not least, I'd like the feeding ritual and type of food being fed, as well as if you have ever chemically treated the tank and if so, what did you use?

I'd like you to consider that he may also have a parasite which is internal.  Let's explore the environment before assuming this.  If he does, please do not treat the whole tank.  Please take him to a hospital environment, as you will probably use Copper, and it will ruin and kill your reef forever.

I never recommend treating saltwater aquariums, but rather the issue in a separate environment.

I'd like to know what he's being fed.  Let's see if we can't put our heads together to figure out what's going on.
