i would like to convert my saltwater aquarium to fresh is it any harmful to fishes.

Good question. It is perfectly okay to fully convert a saltwater aquarium to a freshwater system. None of the equipment or apparatus needed to maintain this aquarium as freshwater, will harm your freshwater fish. You won't be needing a protein skimmer if your aquarium was formerly equipped with one.
