hi. i would like to now how much instant ocean sea salts do i put in my tank per gallon plz

hi peter, it should tell you on the box how much to add, you must have a hydrometer to measure the salinity of water.

i measure the tank specific gravity (SG) with the hydrometer then make up fresh salt mix to either raise, lower or match the tank SG. this brings the tank water to the correct SG of 1.025-1.026

if you don't have a hydrometer you need to get one, try and find a float type hydrometer like the kind used to test car batteries, stay away from the swinging arm type, they are very un-reliable and inaccurate.
