Beta Fish has bumps and seems sick

Hi,

We have had our Beta "Pirate" for about 3 months. Two weeks ago he started
acting weird. He floats sideways on the top of his bowl, has two big bumps on
his head, and won't always eat.

Please help<

Hi Susan,
Your betta probably has swim bladder disease which is why he is floating sideways. Try feeding him shelled peas for a few days which should help his digestion. Those bumps you are describing are probably cysts that cannot be cured and are harmless. The other thing you can try is testing water quality and doing daily water changes. Giving him clean water may help him recover.
