1.5 quart aquarium with small filter system

Question
I have been treating my sick betta with Betta Fix and Maracyn-Two.  I have a small aquarium with an under gravel filter system.  In the past two days there has been excessive bubbling on the surface.  Why is this and is this bad for the fish?  Thank you for your help.

Bubbling? Like little air bubbles? If your betta is a male, he could be blowing bubbles (bubble brooders do this so they have a place to stick the eggs when the female releases them). My male doesn't do this but many other's do.
If it's not air bubbles, is it possible to get a picture of the bubbles emailed to megan140@msn.com?
