Biozyme and Black Molly behavior

Question
Hi - Relatively new tank but years ago had extensive knowledge... catching up.
Misread the Biozyme instructions and added 1/8 tsp per 5 gallon instead of per
25 gallon.  Shall I freak?  Also, pair of Black Mollies just added to tank are
hovering behind heater and rapidly moving in place.   In tank 30 hours.  Since
this is a new tank, I only have 5 bottom feeders and the mollies.  Comments?

Answer
While I do not use this product, if I am correct it is beneficial bacteria? Assuming so, I would definately do a partial water change. I would not suspect it is harmful but rather will build up too much in your tank adding to algae and maybe even ammonia. So if it is not quickly removed I would imagine it could lead to problems. However, considering your tank is so new, it probably has not caused too much harm by now. I would do a 30-35% water change without adding any more biozyme. Then, a few days later do a 20-25% water change again without adding any more treatment but not forgetting to declorinate. That should make it more managable. As for the mollies, considering how new they are, I would suspect stress. Do they have any signs or disease or parasites? If not, I would guess it is because of stress. Although stress can be deadly to fish so try not to stress them out too much with the water changes. Also, the extra biozyme could be a contributer. Again, I would not guess it is deadly yet but you should take little steps like water changes to start removing the extra treatment. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help.
